Gena has been teaching for the past 20 years and started her professional dance career at age 16 in Myrtle Beach, SC as a performer with “High Steppin’ Country”. From there she went on to work for Paramount Carowinds as a dancer in "Gotta Dance". She was in a CBS New Years Eve Special “Live From Opryland”, and has also worked for Norwegian Cruise Lines as a performer. During a short relocation to Los Angeles, Gena was an assistant teacher at Tremaine Dance Studios in Hollywood. Gena attended UNCG and has a business degree. She was a former Miss Forsyth & Miss Guilford Counties, and won “Miss Congeniality” in the Miss NC Pageant. Gena was the choreographer for Preliminary Pageants, and choreographs pageant routines for girls of all ages. Her competitive dance teams and choreography have won many regional and national awards and honors, and she currently works on the judging circuit for one of the largest dance and talent competitions in the U.S. Gena is married to Allen and they have one daughter, Hope. Hope is an assistant at the studio , on the AD Competition Team and a Davie High Dancing Boot.
Sunni was born and raised in Davie County where she resides with her husband, Mike and 1 of her daughters Matty. Matty is a competition team member at Advance Dance and a Dancing Boot at Davie High. Sunni also has two ther daughters, Haley. is a graduate of WCU and Kasey is listed below. Sunni began her dance career at age three because her grandmother insisted on it, but soon realized it was a passion of her own. Mrs. Sunni’s fun-filled classes are enjoyed by all ages, but especially make her a big hit with our preschool students! Sunni teaches students age 2- 12 in recreational classes at all 3 studio locations. She also has a love for horses, and is the owner/operator of Sunnybrook Farm located in Advance.

Devan danced at Advance Dance at the Arcadia studio and has was an assistant teacher for several years before becoming an instructor last year. She will be teaching and finishing up her education to pursue a career in the medical field. AD is lucky to have her teaching at our Arcadia location.
Kaycee is a graduate of NC State. Mrs Kaycee studied dance with Gena and was a competition team member and was a former AD instructor. Kaycee is married to Trevor and loves animals. Kaycee is changing career paths and will be finishing up her schooling to become an elementary teacher. She will be at Meadowlark Elementary this year. We are happy to have her back as an Advance Dance instructor at our new Lewisville Clemmons location..
Kasey is Mrs Sunni's daughter and attends HPU, She has been a member of the AD competition team, an assistant teacher and was an instructor last year at our Arcadia studio. Kasey will be teaching this year in Arcadia and Advance.
Kathy is from Las Vegas and came to Winston-Salem for college at WSSU. When she graduated she started working at the college and has been here ever since. Miss Kathy brings a smile and a bubbly personality to every class.
